Examination and therapy of pediatric patients with postural disorder on the principle of dynamic neuromuscular stabilization
PETERKA, Tadeáš
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of postural disorders in children of younger and older school-age and is also dealing with the therapy of these disorders thanks to the modern method of dynamic neuromuscular stabilization-DNS. The defective posture of the body is most often created during childhood, thanks to well-timed and targeted therapy, it is possible to positively affect posture development, and prevent the deepening of the asymmetries or development of other pathologies. The first target of this thesis is to describe the most common postural disorders of school children. The second target was to affect postural disorders of particular school children with the help of dynamic neuromuscular stabilization. This thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, I first described the psychomotor and ontogenic human evolution, detailed characterization of the school-age period, and level of motor skills of children in this period. In the next chapter I have defined the term of posture, and also closely related terms like postural stability, postural stabilization and postural reactivity. After that, I have described the division of postural disorders based on their origin, and also dedicated one chapter of the thesis to the emergence of postural disorders based on central coordination disorder. An important part of the thesis is a description of the most common postural disorders occurring in school children. At the end of the theoretical part, I have been dealing with a description of the dynamic neuromuscular stabilization method, its principles and procedures governing and developmental kinesiology of the child to the 1st year of life from which it is based. The practical part of the thesis was done in the form of qualitative research. For data collection for research input and output examination of 3 probands was performed, which was processed into case studies, which were then compared and evaluated. The examination consists of anamnesis, aspect, palpation, tests for the examination of spinal motility, examination of shortened muscles and examination of postural stabilization and reactivity. The research group consisted of two girls and one boy, aged 11-12 years, with some deviation from proper posture. The exercise unit was created from exercises based on positions of developmental kinesiology. The research lasted for 2 months, the probands had the task of performing exercises at least 4 times a week at home, at the same time they also had several individual therapies during these 2 months to check and supplement the exercises. At the end of the work, I described the results, which I reached through research and evaluated the success of therapy. Each of the probands improved, especially the activation of the deep stabilization system of the spine and the acquisition of the correct breathing stereotype. The bachelor thesis could serve as inspiring and educational material for the public. At the same time, it can be used for its content of information to serve in the clinical practice of physiotherapists.
Possibilities of physiotherapy for people with cerebral palsy
LINTNER, David
This bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of physiotherapy for people with cerebral palsy (CP). The main goal is to apply these options within the medical rehabilitation plan. The theoretical part contains all the information on CP issues. It also includes developmental kinesiology, which is an integral part of the diagnosis and therapy of this disease. The last part contains a list of treatments that belong to complex therapy. The methodological part describes the process of research implementation, i.e. research sample, data collection methods, course of therapy, research ethics and research limits. The practical part is processed in the form of qualitative research, i.e. a case study, in which the input and output kinesiological analysis and subsequent therapy within a short-term and long-term rehabilitation plan are described in detail. The examination consists (apart from the anamnesis of the initial kinesiological analysis) of aspect, palpation, goniometry, orientation examination of strength, neurological examination, etc. The final kinesiological analysis showed that there was a positive effect of the therapy. The research lasted over a month and was prematurely terminated by the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent declaration of a state of emergency.
Use of developmental kinesiology elements in the prevention of spinal injuries
KAMÍROVÁ, Barbora
My bachelor thesis deals with the application of elements of developmental kinesiology in the prevention of vertebral disorders. The theoretical part of my bachelor thesis contains a description of the back anatomy and the most common vertebral disorders which can be prevented by therapy. The next chapters focus on the core system and developmental kinesiology, where the single phases of delevopment are described in detail. These phases result in exercises that are then used in a set of exercises. The last chapter of the theoretical part describes methods on neurophysiologycal basis often used in the therapy of vertebral disorders. They include DNS concept, Vojta therapy, Roswitha Brunkow therapy and ACT method. The practical part includes a set of exercises created on the basis of position in developmental kinesiology and uses knowledge from the theoretical part. To evaluate the effectivity of this set of exercises the thesis contains 4 case studies. A research file was created with three woman and one man aged from 20 to 27 years, all of them active sports people. For four months they practised the set of exercices twice a week at home and once a month they visited the individual therapy to control the quality of exercising. The following methods were used for collecting data during my research: kinesiology analysis focused on anamnesis, check-up by sight and functional tests for which I used dynamical tests for spine and core tests from Kolář. Testing at the beginning and at the end of the therapy was identical. To evaluate the effect of the set of exercises I used a semi-structural interview where I focused on the subjective feeling from the therapy and to get an answer to the research question, which was to find out which exercise is the most effective in the participants´ opinion. The results of the therapy show an obvious positive effect of the set of exercises, based on positions from developmental kinesiology, on the function of the movement system. The participants feel a subjective improvement of posture and in all cases there were obvious positive changes, especially in testing of core system. Evaluated as the most effective exercise was number 1 - position of a three-month-old baby lying on its back and modifications of this exercise with use of dynamical movement of limbs.

1 Abstract Title: Effect of physical exercise during pregnancy to diafragma pelvis Objectives: The aim of this thesis was to point out the influence of the appropriately chosen regular exercise during pregnancy on the state of the pelvic floor, especially after childbirth. Methods: Six selected probands, first-time mothers, aged 29-34 completed a four- month exercise plan that was specifically prepared for pregnant women. During the exercise, they communicated their feelings, and these were reported in the case reports. The pelvic floor was evaluated by an ultrasound examination after the childbirth. The ultrasound examination was performed by professional staff at the ÚPMD at 6 weeks, 6 months, and 12 months postpartum. The mothers provided me with their documentations from the individual examinations. Further, the interviews were conducted with individual probands, where anamnesis was taken using questions, and subjective feelings were ascertained not only during exercise, but also during and after the childbirth. The questions were aimed at experiences associated with the pelvic floor. Results: All probands completed the exercise program in its entirety. According to the ultrasound examinations, three mothers gave birth without any injuries in the area of pelvic floor and had no abnormal findings on the...
The angle of femoral anteversion in relation to postural functions. Objectivization by means of ultrasonography
Dymešová, Eva ; Ocmanová, Renata (advisor) ; Zounková, Irena (referee)
The intact development of postural functions is the condition for the posture. The muscles are automatically integrated into the posture by maturing of the central nervous system. Together with the postural function of the phasic muscles the morphology of the skeleton matures too. The target of this work is to prove the influence of the muscles onto the morphology of the hip joint - femoral neck anteversion. Point to the cohesion of clinical symptoms of the bigger femoral neck anteversion. The results of the clinical survey compare with the ultrasound of the hip joint. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Methods: Testing was performed using a selected group of children 7 clinical test battery evaluating postural maturity. Followed by testing the same group of...
Stimulation of the zones used during reflex locomotion by TENS
Vodňanská, Markéta ; Malá, Jitka (advisor) ; Pánek, David (referee)
Thesis title: Stimulation of the zones used during reflex lokomotion by the TENS Name: Markéta Vodňanská The aim of the thesis: The aim of this thesis is to determine, whether is activated the appropriate locomotor pattern during Vojta reflex locomotion - reflexive crawling, when TENS is used for a stimulation of trigger zones, as it is during manual stimulation of trigger zones for reflexive crawling. Method: The essence of this study is the stimulation of trigger zones used in the reflex locomotion manually and by transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) at a frequency of 30 Hz and 182 Hz. Six probands participated in this experiment. During the manual and TENS stimulation was scanned electrical activity in selected muscles by surface electromyography. First, it was evaluated the order of activation of selected muscles, using "standard timing" analysis by MyoResearch XP Master program. Second, it was evaluated the crawling reflex locomotion pattern visually. Results: It was confirmed, that the crawling reflex locomotion pattern, which is provoked by manual stimulation of trigger zones, is provoked by TENS stimulation as well, using the same trigger zones. It follows that the vector of direction and pressure during manual stimulation of trigger zones is not necessary for recall of the...
The effect of proximal dynamic stabilizazion on hand muscle strength
Dzvoník, Ján ; Kobesová, Alena (advisor) ; Ježková, Martina (referee)
The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of dynamic stabilizing strategy on handgrip and pinchgrip strength. Exercise utilized in this study was based on rehabilitative approach called Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) - a developmental kinesiology approach. The exercise program consisted of four primal developmental positions (3½ month supine position, oblique sitting position with support on forearm, position on all fours, and the "bear" position). A study file consisted of ten females who were instructed in basic scheme of DNS exercise. They were instructed to exercise at home five times weekly for a 6- weeks period. One exercise lesson took about thirty minutes. Both handgrip and pinchgrip strength was measured using the digital dynamometer CITEC CT 3001 recording maximum voluntary isometric contraction (MVIC). Three-pinch grip strength and fist grip strength was measured for both upper extremities. Fist grip strength was measured in three positions of forearm (pronation, supination and neutral position). Overall eight variables (for each extremity, grip form and position of the forearm) measured before and after exercise program were compared using the paired t-test. Significant increase in muscle strength (p<0,05) was identified for all eight variables after a 6 weeks exercise...
